How to Make High Heels
In this part we will explain the steps in making your new high heels shoes. Your shoes are made with the skill and expertise of shoe makers. They are completely handmade. The first step is material selection. Any leather hides/skins they purchase have to pass numerous tests before selecting them. Strength, suppleness, flawlessness, smell, tanning, color and durability are the things that they consider in the selection process. Comfort and delicateness are among two things that become assurance for your feet. The leather selection and lining are then cut using up to 10 special knives. Then they continue the process using the clicking machine. They press from the top and push the knives into the leather, perfectly cutting each part of the leather to be used for the upper and the lining for the inside. Once they cut your leather upper and lining parts, the pieces have to be slowly passed through the Skiving machine, removing any rough edges, leaving clean perfectly trimmed and cut leather parts. After that, they have all the materials needed to make your new shoes. Next, toe puffs are ironed on by hand, for supporting and shaping at the toe. Upper quarters are stitched together, rubbed down and all edges are folded in and back. The heels are countered and the stiffeners are sewn in to give you a firm solid heel. The lining material is then glued and then sewn to the upper; and during this process they only use natural adhesives. Next the molded shaped upper part of the heel is formed first by using a back mold warming machine, that warms the leather to the correct temperature then it is stretched round a steel heel mold, pulling it into shape. Once cooled, the heel shape becomes permanent. The upper part is then pulled onto the last, the toe is warmed (as the heel) and stretched over to the toe, and this forms the toe shape. The insole is then sewn and tacked onto the upper whilst on the last. All our insoles have toughened steel shanks, extra strong durability, support and strength. Now the sole of the shoe is warmed up, so it is pliable and it is stuck securely onto the last. We have a special sole pressing machine for this. Once the sole is permanently fixed, the last is then removed. The final part to be fixed to your shoe is the heel. The raw heel is covered with leather. The heel is positioned on the underside, a solid steel heel plate is placed on the inside of the shoes (under the heel), then using our heel attachment machine, 6 small steel nails are put into the heel. Now that your shoes have been made, the last stage is probably the most important: inspecting every details of your new shoes or boots. Every little detail is checked. One single error or defect will not go unnoticed. Once checked, your shoes will be carefully packed and posted to you.
